| Here are step by step
instructions on how to open a custom file extension:
1.
Right-click on the attached encrypted file and select Save
As.
2. If the file name
appears with the file extension (e.g. FILE.CEF rather
than just FILE), simply change the extension to EXE
and save it to a convenient location.
3. The run the file and
enter the password to decrypt.
If the file name
does NOT appear with the file extension shown, you
will need to change your Windows setting to show file
extensions.
1. Run Start,
Settings, Control Panel, Folder Options. Then
select the View tab and uncheck the option,
"Hide file extensions for known file types".
2. Then follow steps 2
and 3 above.
